{"id":3939,"date":"2025-03-28T18:06:50","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T18:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=3939"},"modified":"2025-03-28T18:06:50","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T18:06:50","slug":"friday-28th-march-primary-6-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2025\/03\/28\/friday-28th-march-primary-6-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday 28th March  Primary 6\/7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tickled Pink<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0We were den building during outdoor learning and were developing our communication, collaboration, leadership and critical thinking skills.<\/li>\n<li>During our basketball session with Xcite\u00a0 we learned how to dribble properly.<\/li>\n<li>While focusing on symmetry in Maths\u00a0 we were creating symmetrical pictures with two or more lines of symmetry.<\/li>\n<li>The HWB Mini Champs were using all the skills we&#8217;ve been learning using Adobe Express to create a Park Smart video presentation.\u00a0 Everyone else was working in small groups to create video presentations about red pandas to enter into a competition being run by the Five Sisters Zoo.<\/li>\n<li>Our Debating session was fun because the speakers had collected good evidence and gave excellent speeches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green For Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While creating the Adobe video presentations working out the timing for the music and creating character animations was tricky.<\/li>\n<li>In symmetry we found it difficult to complete symmetrical pictures digitally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Lead Learner Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our lead learners last week were Julia and Oscar and they chose to focused on<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>being ambitious in your work<\/li>\n<li>being responsible with school equipment and resources<\/li>\n<li>being kind to teachers and PSWs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Many of the pupils successfully achieved these targets, well done!<\/p>\n<p>Mr Hamilton and Mrs Baird\u00a0 are also delighted with the progress everyone has made recently using the Adobe Express resource.\u00a0 Hopefully the Digital Schools Award staff were suitably impressed too, a big well done to our pupils who were interviewed this week for the award.\u00a0 Fingers crossed that we&#8217;re successful!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to Preston for writing this week&#8217;s blog post.
