{"id":2859,"date":"2023-09-01T11:10:47","date_gmt":"2023-09-01T11:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/?p=2859"},"modified":"2023-09-01T11:10:47","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T11:10:47","slug":"p5-6-friday-1st-september-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/seafieldps\/2023\/09\/01\/p5-6-friday-1st-september-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"P5\/6 Friday 1st September 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a great week this week with lots of learning taking place in class.<\/p>\n<p>Things that went well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>P6 took part in a series of workshops this week with the Red Cross where they learned about First Aid, Empathy and Migration and Building Communities<\/li>\n<li>Some people really enjoyed challenging themselves to complete more complex add and subtract calculations. some people chose to work with numbers with numbers beyond 1000.<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor Learning in Deanburn Gardens we spent time exploring the environment.<\/li>\n<li>Bear Scotland Competitions &#8211; Designing a Winter Safe Logo and naming a Gritter.<\/li>\n<li>Our Class novel &#8211; The Boy at the Back of the Class<\/li>\n<li>Class Charter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Things that were a bit tricky.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technology Trauma!! Getting everyone logged into Glow and using IDL and Sumdog<\/li>\n<li>Some people found subtraction tricky<\/li>\n<li>Literacy &#8211; writing task and getting used to giving feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a great week this week with lots of learning taking place in class.
