Below are some activity choices for this week:<\/p>\n
Option 1 (daily activity) \u2013 Early Level<\/strong><\/p>\n Alphabet list<\/u><\/p>\n We all celebrated the recent holiday, for each of us, the focus would be different, for example, for some, it\u2019s about the meaning of Christmas, for others, it\u2019s about the giving and receiving of presents, family time or a winter holiday (even a mixture of these).<\/p>\n You are going to create an alphabet list based on the focus of your holiday. For example:<\/p>\n Christmas alphabet \u00a0–<\/strong> b <\/strong>\u2013 baubles<\/strong>,\u00a0 p<\/strong> \u2013 presents<\/strong><\/p>\n Gift alphabet \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2013 c <\/strong>\u2013 chocolate<\/strong>,\u00a0 s<\/strong> \u2013 socks<\/strong><\/p>\n Family\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 –<\/strong> f <\/strong>\u2013 fun,\u00a0 m<\/strong> \u2013 movies<\/strong><\/p>\n Winter holiday\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0– s <\/strong>\u2013 snow<\/strong>,\u00a0 g<\/strong> \u2013 games<\/strong><\/p>\n So, for example, if you choose the Gift alphabet<\/strong>, you would write down a-z <\/strong>on paper, and next to each letter, you would write down an item that either you or a family member received for Christmas. How many can you remember?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Option 2 (week long activity) \u2013 First Level and beyond<\/strong><\/p>\n Diary<\/u><\/p>\n You are going to create your own diary. First, research some famous dairies, e.g. The Diary of a Young Girl <\/em>by Anne Frank – google an excerpt to look at the format (how it is laid out).<\/p>\n Now, it\u2019s your turn!<\/p>\n Create your own personal diary and design the front cover which should reflect your personality.<\/p>\n Every day make a diary entry that explains the events and experiences of your day.<\/p>\n The key features of a diary are explained below:<\/p>\n Try to think about your choice of words to make your writing more interesting by using adverbs and adjectives.<\/p>\n An adverb – a word that describes a verb (an action or doing word). E.g. I ate (verb) <\/strong>my breakfast slowly <\/strong>(<\/span>adverb<\/strong>)<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n An adjective \u2013 a word that describes a noun (the name of a thing or place). E.g.
