What about help mum and dad with the dishes. Ask mum or dad to hide 3 of those objects and go find them. Parents can give you some clues. Use the code \u201chot\u201d if they are getting close to the object, \u201ccold\u201d if they are moving away from the object. Cut out plant pictures from old seed and plant catalogues I(if you don\u2019t have any you can draw some or even paint directly on the box. Feel free to use your imagination) and then glue them to the box for decoration.\u00a0 Cover the box with clear contact paper.\u00a0 Although it won&#8217;t be waterproof, this will make it more durable.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kidsgardening.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/artbox-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"garden art box\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Science <\/strong>\u2013 Do you know which solids dissolve in water? Here you have a fun and easy experiment that you can make at home.<\/p>\n<p><em>You will need:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Water (hot and cold)<\/li>\n<li>Transparent containers<\/li>\n<li>Substances to try and dissolve (sugar, salt, sand, pepper, coffee&#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Method:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Add a tea spoon of whichever you are testing to a glass of cold water and a glass of hot water, stir and observe the difference.<\/li>\n<li>Look to see if the solids dissolves in the cold water and hot water and if one is better than the other.<\/li>\n<li>Can you take pictures to record your observation?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcRNPiiNo1MfZhqzRzozesu6ePMkLpDqy7HrkuJoYk-0aBBd6-eu\" alt=\"Image result for dissolving experiments ks1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Science bit:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Things like salt, sugar,= and coffee dissolve in water. They are soluble. They usually dissolve better and faster in hot water. Pepper and sand are insoluble. They do not dissolve even in the hot water.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HWB\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 can you name and find some parts of your body.
