Nothing like a bit of variety and what simple but effective ideas! Wonder what the pupils would come up with if you showed them these before your next trip outside?
The pictures had other purposes to improve numeracy. Framing nature explored scale and measurement. Mud Man, volume of material and John Muir is Cool could have explored melting rate of ice or weight of material used. I am always looking at how these contexts can be used to improve other aspects of learning.
