Pupil Council

Our Pupil Council

Ogilvie School Campus aims to involve all pupils in their Education and the development of school facilities.  In order to hear the pupil voice, a pupil council has been appointed with new members.

The Pupil Council consists of one pupil representative from each class.  These pupils will meet once a month with Mrs Thompson and Miss Speirs to discuss issues raised by the pupils.  They will also discuss ideas, decide on the most effective ways to change and improve the school and then talk to the people who can help to make it happen.
No matter what their level of communication we give all our pupils a voice, whether they share their opinions and choices verbally, through sign, symbols or gestures.

Pupil council will regularly share news and information about new initiatives and the important things which are achieved.

We look forward to sharing the outcome of all the important decisions we make!

Our newly formed pupil council, exhausted after lots of important decision making!

Meeting 1 September

The pupil council met for the first time this term for a very productive meeting. We discussed what the pupil council does and when we would meet.

We then used symbols and a talking mat to decide what things we would like to change in school, and what things we would like to stay the same. Some of the things we would like to change are the foods we have at snack and the toys we play with outside.

We will use our talking mat to guide future meetings and hopefully make lots of exciting changes in our school!
