I do hope that you are all well and have had a lovely summer.
I am very excited about seeing you all later this week back at school and being able to read stories again to real children and not in front of a camera! Here is a new story that I had ordered a quite few weeks ago now and I thought might help you practise your listening skills – which will be really important whichever class you are in!
Enjoy the new story and of course the last few days of the holidays.
Today is Friday and it is our last day of P2A. I hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday and enjoy doing lots of fun things with your families. I look forward to seeing you after the summer holiday! Here is our last Mr Men and Little Miss story of P2.
Here is the link to this super Mr Men Little Miss Official website.
Well this is our last day in Primary 2. We have really enjoyed being your teachers and are very proud of everything you have achieved this year. We also have to say a big thank you to all our parents for your amazing support, particularly over the last 12 weeks.
We know that some of you will be very excited about moving on to Primary 3 and some of you might be a little bit worried. When you come back to school you will hopefully be back with all your old friends but things might be a little bit different for a while. Here is a Powerpoint that might help you.
As we both retire today after 17 years at Linlithgow Primary, we will take lots of happy memories with us. This year has to be one of the most memorable and our class this year will always have a special place in our hearts. We will miss you all!!!
We are sure that you will love being in Primary 3 and we are looking forward to coming to see you in your new class after the holidays.
Thank you for watching the Story Time From Home videos which I originally was going to make just for my own class but thought it would be nice to share with all the P1-3 children.
I know that lots of you have heard me read these stories before so it has been lovely to hear that you have still been watching the videos. Thank you for all your kind messages – it has been so nice to hear from you and know that you are doing well.
Please enjoy your summer holidays and take care to stay safe. I look forward to seeing you all safely back in school soon.
Can you believe today is the last Thursday of P2A? It has been a very quick year! I wonder what your favourite part of P2 has been? I have loved teaching you and reading you lots and lots of stories. Here are a couple for you to enjoy.
Have a lovely day and enjoy your last Thursday of P2A.
I hope you are all well. Mrs Boyle is loving hearing about all the sandwiches you are making at home. I have also heard about all the other tasty snacks and cakes you have been making.
I thought you might like this story about the Lighthouse Keeper and the pesky seagulls who keep stealing his lunch.
I hope you are all well and looking forward to your summer holidays.
I have been thinking about all the fun activities we have done this year. I wanted to share a favourite book of mine that we have read in class. I love how the pigeon tries to get everyone to help him.
Hello everyone!Welcome to the link for the 60th Story Time from Home.
Today’s story is all about a boy who gets stuck on the moon. It’s another of my favourite stories even if it is a bit silly! I do hope you enjoy it too.
Good morning Primary 2, I love to go to the beach do you?
It’s almost time for the Summer holidays and I hope we will all get to the beach sometime soon but we can go today through the magic of music!
Today’s clip is all about the sea and there is a song to learn and sing, a story to hear and some listening which I hope will take you to the beach!
After you’ve tried the song, scroll down to the story of The Magic Fish and then down to the listening activity. Close your eyes and you can just about feel you’re at the sea side! See how many sounds you can hear then draw a lovely sea side picture! Have a great Summer!
I hope you are all good on this last Tuesday of P2! Here is Mr Strong cooking some delicious muffins with one of my favourite fruits! I will have to try these at home.
Here is one of the Mr Men which we would always talk about. We would always mention this character when we were talking about being resilient and not giving up. Can you remember who he is? I hope you enjoy watching this video.
I hope everyone was happy with their School Reports yesterday. Mrs Boyle and I have certainly been very impressed with the progress you have all made in Primary 2. We are also very proud of the effort and creativity we have seen over the last 12 weeks when you have been learning at home.
Lots of you are continuing to enjoy learning about minibeasts. One of our class has been looking after caterpillars and sent a picture to show that the butterflies have emerged from their cocoons.
I thought you might like to listen to this story about another minibeast, a little cricket who has lost his song. He sets of to try and find it and meets lots of different minibeasts on his travels.
Here is another story about a little chameleon by the same author. The Mixed-Up Chameleon learns an important lesson about being itself when it wishes it could be more like all the other animals it sees, but soon decides it would rather just be a chameleon.
This is a very catchy French song about a little cameleon called Leon. See if you can spot all the French colour words in the song.
I hope you enjoy’s today’s story which is set in school and all about a teacher who falls in love even though she has some unwelcome visitors. You will need to watch the video to find out more and to see another appearance by Tufty!
And here’s another link to a very short video of Cleo who it seems will only appear when I’m not reading the story!
