Before 1962\u00a0<strong>Livingston Village<\/strong>\u00a0was known as\u00a0<strong>Livingston<\/strong>\u00a0and has a history dating back to the 12th century. It is first mentioned in an early 12th-century charter as\u00a0<em>Villa Levingi<\/em>\u00a0(Leving&#8217;s town).
