The children have been using their listening skills to spot if they hear a sound first or last when saying a CVC word. For example with the word <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">m<\/span>a<span style=\"color: #33cccc\">t<\/span><\/strong> do you hear the<span style=\"color: #33cccc\"><strong> t<\/strong><\/span> sound first or last? In numeracy we have been counting and sorting with<strong> 6<\/strong> and<strong> 7<\/strong> this week. \u00a0In PE the class enjoyed using juggling scarves and balance boards to practice skills such as balance and hand eye coordination.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the children\u2019s comments on their learning highlights and challenges this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Highlights <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L \u2013 learning <span style=\"color: #333399\">d<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #33cccc\">t<\/span>, I like learning them<\/p>\n<p>J \u2013 singing songs<\/p>\n<p>H \u2013 playing in the house corner<\/p>\n<p>P \u2013 we found a candle and we were saying if it man made or natural<\/p>\n<p>Al &#8211; You go down the tower and across the tower to make<span style=\"color: #33cccc\"> t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Au \u2013 science, well the hard stuff was wood and the soft stuff was playdoh<\/p>\n<p>Su \u2013 we made a house for the pig we need more bricks or the wolf will come<\/p>\n<p>Sub \u2013 building the house with bricks<\/p>\n<p>Ch \u2013 getting lots of friends<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Challenges <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L \u2013 getting ready for PE<\/p>\n<p>Al &#8211; When we write the letter <span style=\"color: #333399\">d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Au \u2013 in the gym hall when we did the balance and catching<\/p>\n<p>N \u2013 it was kind of difficult listening to the ringing bell<\/p>\n<p>Ch \u2013 writing the sounds d and t if you keep going and going you get better.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Meet the Teacher<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you for coming along, it was lovely to get the opportunity to introduce myself and give an overview of P1.
