Most can walk into school independently and are beginning to organise their belongings. I am so impressed, as many of the children have taken this in their stride and can manage things like: hanging up their coat, changing shoes, putting their water bottle away, snack in tray and bag in bag box, and even order a lunch, phew! We learned our first sound this week which was <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">m<\/span> and tricky word <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">I<\/span>. We also explored number <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">5<\/span> by counting, sorting, building and printing. The children enjoyed some play time in the garden. During PE they did Yoga and played toilet tig and disappearing dots. Please see below for the children\u2019s learning highlights and challenges:<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Highlights<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>K &#8211; my favourite part is playing in the sand<\/p>\n<p>J \u2013 my favourite part was making ladybirds on the leaf, I made 5<\/p>\n<p>Ch \u2013 I have enjoyed playing outside, I like playing out with Poppy, Lewis and Solomia<\/p>\n<p>L \u2013 building a car<\/p>\n<p>Su \u2013 playing lego<\/p>\n<p>Au \u2013 playing in the kitchen<\/p>\n<p>Al \u2013 running about outside<\/p>\n<p>So \u2013 I like playground tig<\/p>\n<p>H \u2013 playing with the building blocks<\/p>\n<p>Chr \u2013 painting<\/p>\n<p>P \u2013 learning the m sound<\/p>\n<p>N\u2013 playing the dinosaurs<\/p>\n<p>Sus \u2013 building a car<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Challenges<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>K &#8211; It was difficult to cut with scissors<\/p>\n<p>J &#8211; to put the things on the back with the apron<\/p>\n<p>Ch &#8211; sitting down and missing my baby sister<\/p>\n<p>L -opening my packet at snack time<\/p>\n<p>Au &#8211; trying to cut out the mouse shapes<\/p>\n<p>H &#8211; gluing the circles<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The children in P1K have settled in well.
