What a very busy and productive week for Primary 1. In Literacy we learned the oa and \u2018ow\u2019 as in brown sounds. We played roll and read, looked for real and nonsense words, played snakes and ladders and made words. In writing we wrote about our pets if we had one or what pet we would like if we didn\u2019t have one.<\/p>\n<p>In Maths this week we have been exploring weight and capacity. We measured classroom items using a pan balance and cubes. We explored how many scoops of water it took to fill containers and guessed how many cups first of all before finding out.<\/p>\n<p>This week we did our first assembly to the school. We took a trip through our whole school year sharing our learning through play. We worked very hard to learn our lines. Miss Maclachlan is very proud of us. \u00a0Here are the children\u2019s reflections:<\/p>\n<p>Angus \u2013 \u201cI loved doing our assembly. I liked saying my verse of the poem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthew \u2013 \u201cI loved all of our assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell \u2013 \u201cI enjoyed learning oa and ow during literacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aaron \u2013 \u201cAll of the assembly is my highlight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leo \u2013 \u201cI liked learning about capacity and how many scoops of water it took to fill the containers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mia \u2013 \u201cI liked learning oa and ow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finlay \u2013 \u201cSame as Aaron.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lyla \u2013 \u201cI enjoyed saying the poem and watching others say their lines in our assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ishanvi \u2013 \u201cI liked learning my lines and performing the assembly to the school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Orlaith \u2013 \u201cI enjoyed our assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emma \u2013 \u201cI loved the assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gracie \u2013 \u201cI liked the whole week at school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ayaat \u2013 \u201cI loved the whole week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David \u2013 \u201cI enjoyed everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jessica \u2013 \u201cI enjoyed the assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emily \u2013 \u201cI have enjoyed feeding the fish and helping to look after the fish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Maclachlan<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon.
