I liked practising the maths strategies in Number Talks.\u00a0 It was really fun to see how many different ways there were to figure out the answers.\u00a0 I liked the empty numberline. I also liked reading James and the Giant Peach.\u00a0 It was funny that the rhinoceros ate James&#8217; Mum and Dad. &#8211; Lois<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed WBD because we got to wear our pyjamas.\u00a0 I also enjoyed visiting the Discovery Den because we got to do lots of activities.\u00a0 I liked learning about African Elephants and writing about them.\u00a0 I really liked making lots of different shades of orange and peach in art. &#8211; Sevinc<\/p>\n<p>I liked visiting the Discovery Den because I learned about fish and rocks.\u00a0 We are reading James and the Giant Peach for our class novel and it&#8217;s about a boy called James.\u00a0 His parents died so he has to live with his horrible aunts called Sponge and Spike.\u00a0 They make him clean up all the mess and locked him in his room. &#8211; Lewis<\/p>\n<p>On Monday we started to read James and the Giant Peach.\u00a0 At the start it was really sad because James&#8217; Mum and Dad were eaten by a rhino and now he has to live with his horrible aunties. &#8211; Charley<\/p>\n<p>I liked visiting the Discovery Den because there were so many activities.\u00a0 I liked PE because we had to hit the ball in between the cones in Hockey.\u00a0 I also liked dressing in my pjs for WBD and I liked reading James and the Giant Peach. &#8211; Sam<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed visiting the Discovery Den.\u00a0 My favourite activity was the Crystal Cave.\u00a0 It was cool to learn that all the rocks had names and weren&#8217;t just called rocks. In PE, I enjoyed Hockey because it was really hard but fun. &#8211; Leighton<\/p>\n<p>I labelled all the rocks correctly in the Crystal Cave when we visited the Discovery Den.\u00a0 It won me 40 house points and I was the first person to get them all right. &#8211; Coben<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed learning about Science in the Discovery Den.\u00a0 I also enjoyed reading James and the Giant Peach. &#8211; Zach<\/p>\n<p>I liked learning in the Discovery Den because you get to do different activities like bird watching or coding on Scratch.\u00a0 If you win in one of the activities you get 5 or 10 house points. &#8211; Sushanth<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed WBD because it was fun that I got to dress up and guess the teacher in the Masked Reader.\u00a0 I also liked visiting the Discovery Den.\u00a0 I liked coding on Scratch.\u00a0 I also loved the bird watching and I got to make my own bird called the Science Bird. &#8211; Ziva<\/p>\n<p>I liked visiting the Discovery Den because it was fun when we got to build our dream house out of K&#8217;Nex. &#8211; Solomia<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed going to the Discovery Den to do the fish pond activity. It was hard but we completed it and earned some house points. &#8211; Alister<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed the Discovery Den.\u00a0 The fish pond was amazing and lots of fun. I enjoyed reading in the science corner in the DD.\u00a0 I got house points for it. &#8211; Euan<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed visiting the Discovery Den.\u00a0 Matching the fish was fun.\u00a0 I also liked the Crystal Cave activity and it was fun to make my own bird. &#8211; Emma<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed visiting the Discovery Den.\u00a0 I liked the fish pond because me and Lewis worked together to find out which fish lived in Scotland or elsewhere in the world. There was one from Japan. &#8211; James<\/p>\n<p>I think the Discovery Den was good because we did Scratch and bird watching.\u00a0 I also think the information reports was good because we wrote about African Elephants and we wrote Fairtrade reports as well.\u00a0 We also did hockey in PE and it was fun.\u00a0 We held the hockey stick and navigated the ball. &#8211; Murdo<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday we went to the Discovery Den and it was so fun because there was the Crystal Cave, bird watching, water filtration, a Scratch challenge, K&#8217;Nex building challenges, Maths Leaves, science reading den and the fish pond.\u00a0 The fish pond was my favourite activity.\u00a0 You had to read the information and match the fish then find out if they were from Scotland or not. &#8211; Poppy<\/p>\n<p>I really liked reading James and the Giant Peach because it was about a smart boy called James.\u00a0 He hated his horrible, hag-like aunties, called Aunt Sponge who was as fat as 90 cabbages and Aunt Spiker who was the opposite.\u00a0 She was as thin as a stick.\u00a0 I bet everyone could see her bones through her clothes.\u00a0 PE was fun too.\u00a0 We learned how to play hockey.\u00a0 It was really, really fun to figure out how to play and everyone enjoyed it. We went into the Discovery Den and we had to match the right name of rock or stone to the right label.\u00a0 K&#8217;Nex was fun because we had to make our own dream house, Maths Leaves, Scratch and bird watching.\u00a0 We had to make our own bird.
