I liked learning all about Fairtrade Fortnight.\u00a0 <\/span>It was interesting that people need help.\u00a0 <\/span>I thought the farmers had enough but found out that they don’t.\u00a0 <\/span>I know that buying Fairtrade products can help them. – Murdo<\/span><\/p>\n

I enjoyed creating the assembly. We used the green screen and had news reporters to tell the story about how farmers get paid fairly with Fairtrade. – Sevinc<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned what Fairtrade is.\u00a0 <\/span>I had seen the logo before but now I understand what it means and how it helps farmers. – Sam<\/span><\/p>\n

I really liked singing the Bananas are the Best song.. It was really funny! – James<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked learning about how the cocoa beans grow.\u00a0 <\/span>It takes a really long time for them to be turned into chocolate. Farm owners get extra money called the Fairtrade Premium.\u00a0 <\/span>They use this to make their farms safer for workers. – Lewis<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked learning about how the farmers take care of the banana plants.\u00a0 <\/span>They have to protect them from the bugs and they use really sharp knives to cut them down.\u00a0 <\/span>– Isaac<\/span><\/p>\n

I enjoyed learning about the banana plantation in drama.\u00a0 <\/span>We turned into a working production line.\u00a0 <\/span>I also liked making a fraction wall in maths. – Sushanth<\/span><\/p>\n

I found it really interesting how cocoa beans only grow in very small amounts twice a year. I also learned that the farmers have to turn the beans over to help them to dry before they can be sent to the chocolate factories. – Poppy<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked learning about how bananas grow and how they go to the ripening room before they are sent to the shop.\u00a0 <\/span>They use a special gas to help the bananas to ripen. – Gabriel<\/span><\/p>\n

I enjoyed being part of the banana plantation production line. It was fun seeing all the different stages the bananas go through before they reach the customer.\u00a0 <\/span>– Lois<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned about Fairtrade and that it’s about farmers not getting paid enough.\u00a0 <\/span>I didn’t know that they weren’t about to take care of their families without Fairtrade. – Teria<\/span><\/p>\n

I was holding the giant banana and had to keep singing “Can I have a banana?” – Nicholas<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked creating the Fairtrade assembly and I enjoyed learning all about Fairtrade.\u00a0 <\/span>I liked singing the songs. – Austin<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked being the inspector and putting Fairtrade stickers on the good quality bananas (in drama).\u00a0 <\/span>I also learned a bit more about Fairtrade.\u00a0 <\/span>I already knew some because my brother had written to Ronaldo about Fairtrade footballs. – Emma<\/span><\/p>\n
