This week in Nursery we have continued to learn more about animals in the world around us.
During skill sessions, the children have been developing mathematical skills, particularly their ability to match and sort. Some children have been discussing patterns they have spotted in the wider world and we plan to explore this further in the coming weeks.
In the garden we found brambles we picked some and thoroughly enjoyed mashing them up to make our own ink for mark-making.
We have also been exploring different textures in the art area. Developing our vocabulary
Please look at our “wow wall” in the corner on the left as you leave the Nursery playroom. We have a silver tree and we would be delighted if you would add any wow moments you have shared with your child. No matter how small. We want to celebrate all the wins!
!
Have a lovely weekend!

Indoors we have been playing mini beast board games and using small world toys to practice our counting, subitising, matching and sorting abilities.
The children have been using the floorbook to share their thoughts, ideas and drawings. We would love for you to have a look through this and share any of your own thoughts and ideas with us.
Our transition visits to school have started this week and the children have thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Primary 1 classroom and school playground at Harrysmuir Primary.
