P3/2 – Monday 20th April

Good morning everyone and welcome back.

I hope you have all enjoyed your holiday.  I have been busy planting in my garden and sorting out all my books.

Below is the grid for today’s learning.  You will notice that I have changed your reading books to ones that you can access from your active learn account.  I am about to post a guide on using these reading books which will help you get the most out of them.  If you can only read one book then please do the one on your active learn account.  I can see when you have read it and I may change your book during the week if you have finished it.

I know lots of you have been enjoying the books on oxford owl so I have given you suggestions for which ones to read from that site at the bottom of this message.  Please remember to try to read for at least ten minutes every day, it will really help you.

Monday 20th April

Oxford Owl books  Apples – Dinosaur Safari      Bananas – Wild Weather   Oranges – A dog’s day    Pears – The hedgehog

Have a lovely day and remember do what you can, do not worry if you cannot get through everything.

Julia Donaldson & Friends

Hello everyone,

Just a final post as we move into ‘Easter holiday mode’. Isla’s mum has made me away that Julia Donaldson is posting a weekly video on the Scholastic UK Facebook page every Thursday! I’ve just watched the first video from yesterday and I think everyone would really enjoy! There’s even a section with Axel Scheffler is the illustrator of Julia Donaldson books as well as readings of the books and songs.

I’ve linked the Scholastic Facebook page below. Once you are on the main page, click videos and the first video should be there. It’s called ‘Welcome to Julia Donaldson & Friends: Week 1’ and a new one will be uploaded every Thursday, as mentioned above.

Hope you enjoy.

Miss D 🙂

Primary 1 – 3rd April

Good morning P1,

Below is the final learning grid of the week and the last phonics video – I hope you have been enjoying them! I have attached a document with Easter challeneges that you may want to complete over the next two weeks, there are lots of fun activities you could try. I would love to see pictures of you completing any of them!

I am very proud of everyone for adapting so well to online learning! I can’t wait to see all the work you have completed when we return to school. Feel free to still have a go at any of the online games from websites that I’ve posted about over the past two weeks e.g. Top marks and skyfall education. They will keep you busy 🙂

I hope everyone has a good rest during the holidays and I can’t wait to hear what everyone has been doing when we return to online learning in two weeks! Thanks again for all your hard work P1.

Miss D 🙂
