P5 update

Another fun and busy week for P5!

We have enjoyed taking part in active learning activities across the curriculum. Especially in literacy and Numeracy as well as designing and painting our own planets in Science. We shared our ‘Snow Day’ activities with the class and wrote interesting and descriptive recounts in Literacy.

We had our belated World Book Day on Thursday 8th and everyone really enjoyed all the reading activities and dressing up for it! There were many amazing dressed up book characters but Alanna McNeill was picked as our class winner for best costume!

We were lucky enough to have a morning with the author, Mike Nicholson, who gave us the pleasure of sharing his inspirations for writing and where his ideas came from for his Mystery book series. We were even given a signed copy of his first ever published book to have in our class library!

Today we had Kirkhill Chatter 4 and all the litter vertical groups did a fantastic job in making sure our playground is clean and today.

Reese Williamson was one of the winners for the Gala Float Design competition and Chloe Wilson was our Star of the Week for her excellent recount about her Snow Day activities. Well done!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend 🙂
