Literacy:
In literacy we completed many reflective reading tasks. We completed a Blankety Black on Matilda. We were able to come up with the correct answers for the missing words and we also thought of other words that could be used. We also tried a ‘Silly Words’ activity where we had to read a piece of text and decide which words did not make sense in the passage and what they could be instead. We found some of this tricky to say which were the silly words. Most of us are completing our Literacy Circle home learning which enables us to contribute to our class discussions.
Mathematics:
In maths, most of us continued learning about angles. We have looked at classifying and describing angles, as well as measuring them. We have tried calculating complimentary and supplementary angles. The Circles moved on to look at Mean, Median and Mode (Average, Middle and Most) when analysing data. We picked this up quickly and will continue to practise and extend this knowledge.
Health & Wellbeing:
In P.E. this week we completed a short Benchball tournament. We focused on team work and communication as a skill and noticed great examples of both. Some of us do need to be better at sharing possession of the ball during team games.
Panto & Enterprise:
This week we continued to practice for our Panto, putting effort into our scenery. We are almost there and just need a few more practices before we are ready for our Dress Rehearsal.
We spent most of Thursday making the products for our Enterprise stall at the PSC Christmas Fayre. We have a Chocolate Tombola, Sweety Cones, Lucky Lollies game, Guess the Birthday and Lucky Squares game. We hope to see many family and friends supporting us on Wednesday 29th November!
Have a great weekend everyone!
