This week we worked quite a lot on our topic about the Titanic. We made menus that passengers would have had from 1st, 2nd and 3rd class. We also used our imaginations to write a letter home to our families from the Titanic. We had to imagine we were children travelling on 1st, 2nd or 3rd class. Lastly, we had lots of fun out in the sun when we were drawing round our partners to show how passengers from all the classes may have looked!
In maths, we were learning about lines of symmetry in 2D shapes. Toby learned more names of 3D shapes and feels more confident. Grace S enjoyed working in groups and having a partner to share learning with. Joshua learned that a heptagon has 1 more side than a hexagon! Oscar , Cristian Blanka, Nico, Deryn, Layla, Allie, Grace B and Steven especially liked our outdoor learning activity. We had to find real life 3D shapes out in the playground.
We enjoyed the sunshine this week! Outside we practised for Sports Day by racing each other in the egg and spoon race and skipping. Our class especially enjoyed the Judo Taster session. Alanna liked that she got to squish her class mates like a pancake. Steven enjoyed learning the Judo throw. Zach liked getting to throw his partner safely on the mat. Toby learned and reminded the class that we should never do any Judo moves outside of the Judo classes! Thank goodness J
Last of all, Primary 4 were super proud when Nico got the Head Teacher Award for excellent writing and for joining the Golden Club.
