During Numeracy this week we have been learning about probability and the chances of events happening. We learned about the line of probability and some of the words associated with this such as certain, likely, unlikely and impossible. We were then set the task of finding out the probability of rolling a certain number on a dice after 50 different rolls. The class found that we were more likely to throw a 6 and least likely to roll a 1. We discussed that our chances when flipping a coin were 50/50 and flipped our coins to see how many heads and tails we could flip during 50 flips. We found that we were more likely to flip ‘tails’ but then discussed that it can also depend on how you flip the coin.

In writing, we have continued to develop our imaginative stories using V.C.O.P. We have also looked at some books by Julia Donaldson that our buddies enjoy. We are trying to translate these into Glaswegian/Scots as Mrs McCann gave us a The Gruffalo in Glaswegian to read in class and it was very funny.

Please remember that all Primary 7 pupils should come dressed in their outdoor P.E. kit on Monday morning as we are attending the Transition Football Tournament at Broxburn Academy.
