Some reflections from our week in Primary 4.

 

Last night was the Christmas Fayre –

” I thought it was really fun as I got my picture taken with Santa” – Blanka

“I liked it because there was lots of toys” – Nico

“I liked the fayre as I got to sell things. It was cool”- Chantelle

“I liked it as I saw Santa”- Alanna

“I liked it as I got to buy a new cushion” – Steven

“I thought it was fun as we got to see some of the stalls and buy some things” – Grace Beckett

“I liked it as I got to buy tea towels for granny” – Tia

“I liked being able to paint the decorations for the fayre” – Cristian

“I like that lots of money was raised” – Grace Sinclair

 

In literacy –

“I was using a dictionary and thought it was fun finding the words” – Lewis

“In literacy I liked using a thesarus as it was a challenge” – Jayden

“I thought using a dictionary was hard because it was tricky to find the words” – Allie

“I thought using a dictionary was a bit hard but it got easier when I asked for help” – Sarah

“I liked working with Mrs MacMillan”- Zach

“I liked doing dictionary work with Mrs MacMillan because she made it lots of fun and we played dictionary games” – Kiera

“I used my new vocabulary from the thesarus to make my own story up with Jayden. I liked it because I got to work with a partner” – Oscar

 

In numeracy –

“I was looking at multiplying. I thought it was hard at first but I got the hang of it” – Lewis

“When I was doing dividing I thought it was quite tricky and when I worked with Lewis it got a bit easier” – Blanka

“I learned that the two repeated addition sums can then be turned into 2 x table sums and 2 dividing sums” – Steven

“I enjoyed playing the maths games on the I-pad with Alanna because they were fun and a bit of a challenge” – Layla

“I liked doing Noggle  because I liked getting to do my own sums” – Allie

“I liked doing Noggle because it was hard but also fun” – Holly

“I found writing the sums on my whiteboard hard” – Oscar

“I enjoyed doing number of the day for BIG start because I could pick what sums to do” – Deryn

 

Other –

“I can not wait for the bench ball tournament” – Toby

“I thought bench ball was tricky at the start but it has got a lot easier” – Ryan

“I have liked getting ready for the bench ball festival” – Joshua

“I liked the quite zone playground because it is a lot more peaceful” – Alanna

“I loved having Hot Chocolate Friday  with Miss Henderson and Mrs Shankland. I got to chat about my work. I feel happy because it was fun” – Jack

 

 

Pupil of the week was given to Allie and Zach. A massive well done to them!

 

Some people in our class have made it into the golden club. What a fantastic achievement.

“I feel happy because I have made it into the golden club” – Grace Beckett

“I felt proud that I got in because I thought it was hard to get into it. I got to go and see Miss Henderson and get a gold star badge which I think is cool” – Steven

“I am really happy to be in the golden club because I get to be at the Christmas treat” – Sarah

 

We had more people achieve step 3 and step 4 today. Well done to everyone!
