The Water Cycle in Action!

Today we’ve been learning all about the water cycle. Did you know that the water we use today is the same water that the dinosaurs drank (and maybe swam in!)? We learned the correct vocabulary to use for the stages of the water cycle – evaporation, condensation & precipitation. We even made models to watch a mini water cycle in action!

We’re using our new knowledge to help our writing! Our story is called ‘The Journey of a Raindrop’ and our focus is on descriptive language as we talk about our travels. We’ve had some great vocabulary so far! We also learned about a writer’s trick called ‘personification’ which is when an author gives human characteristics to a non-human character. Lots of us have decided to use this in our writing. 🌧🌦⛈🌨❄️
