It was a busy week back in P6 after the October holidays.  We heard about what everyone got up to and then got right back into work!

The most exciting part of the week was finding out that our show, Beauty and the Beast, had arrived during the holidays.  We started learning some of the songs and we’ve been given our audition parts to learn.  There’s been lots of super singing – it’s going to be very hard to decide who to cast!

We also began our new topic on World War Two.  First we discussed what we already knew, and what we wanted to find out.  Then we worked as a class to create what we want to say, write, make and do to show we’ve reached our learning intentions.  It was great being able to make the decisions about what the activities would be.

On Friday we began a new novel as part of Literacy work, called Friend or Foe, written by Michael Morpurgo.  We had a great discussion about evacuation and looked at finding evidence in the text.
