Two weeks ago after a discussion about the difference between lemon and melon the Squirrels decided they would like to do some fruit tasting. We thought this would be a great opportunity to try some crazy fruit and help us be brave about trying new things.

So last week we all tried lots of crazy fruits including galia melon, watermelon, physillus, mango, papaya, fig, passion fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon and lime…yes really lemon and lime! The Squirrels had to rate the taste of the fruit and then these results we recorded in a big chart to see which were the most dislike and the most loved fruits we tried. The most popular were kiwi fruit, galia melon and watermelon and the most disliked fruits was passion fruit – because

I have to say I was really impressed that everyone tried everything. Some of the fruits got spat out straight away, some made us pull funny faces and some looked really weird and disgusting but everyone tried everything even though they felt unsure of whether they would like it or not.

Well done Squirrels for taking up the challenge.
