P3 Learning Activities

Good morning,

Today we continue our learning with Division and looking at number patterns. Ask an adult to help you, if you find the questions challenging.

Remember to use concrete materials for sharing out and making groups. You can use paper cut up into small bits or you could choose to use pencils, cutlery, playing cards or lego bricks. You could use Lol dolls, action figures, Pokemon or other toys you can share out or make groups with. Keep doing this until you are comfortable with sharing and grouping, then write the sum you have made in your jotter. You can then write down the fact families.

example: 3 x 5= 15

5 x 3=15

15 ÷ 3=5

15 ÷ 5=3

The focus for our challenge is to look at the Eatwell plate with an adult. Do this by googling Eatwell plate Scotland. I also sent a link to some interesting STEM challenges yesterday. As it is a rainy day, you may wish to ask an adult to help you complete one of the challenges. See the link below. If it doesn’t work by clicking on then copy and paste it into your web browser.

I have selected another reading book for each group and I have set a class book for everyone to try. The class text is tricky, so ask an adult to read it with you or to you and discuss what you have read.

I hope you all have a good day today but if you are feeling bored being stuck inside, then try another of Joe Wicks, The Body Coach’ s daily workouts or Cosmic kids yoga. Both make you feel good and help you stay healthy.

Stay safe and well
