The two days we have been in this week primary 1 enjoyed the classroom change.  We have learnt our new sound y.  We used this sound and blended words this week.

Our fairytale this week was Jack and the Beanstalk.  With more learning through play this week, we had to discuss the beginning, middle and end of the story in our writing.  We also began to discuss the main character And setting of the story.  We have began to create our beanstalk in our  classroom to help the dragon and planted some dwarf beans to watch them grow.  We discussed what we need to let plants grow.

We also used Never Tickle a Tiger as a stimulus for our Vibrant Vocabulary.  Our sophisticated words were shimmied, squirming, enclosure, roaming and walloped.

In Maths we were adding numbers by using dominoes.  We loved this game to practice our adding.

At the end of the week we had snow days so I hope that you are all learning and having fun in the snow.  Stay safe and warm.

Miss Brown decided to venture out with her dogs.
