What a busy week it has been in Primary 1.
Monday we had a crafts afternoon with adults from home. We made reindeer hats, Chridtmas trees, hand print Santas and wreaths. On Wednesday afternoon it was the first Golden club event. Thursday we went for our Christmas church service, we all seemed to enjoy it and the singing was beautiful. Primary 7 readers were fantastic too. Friday we watched a pantomime by M&M productions. It was Peter Pan and all of Primary 1 really loved it.
Also this week Primary 1 have been practicing their symmetry by making snowflakes. It was very tricky but they look fabulous.
We made salt dough decorations too which the children loved to make and paint.
We used problem solving skills to wrap boxes. Everyone enjoyed this problem solving activity.
We also practiced our sight words/tricky words. We played bingo, painted to find the magic word and used jigsaw trees to make the words.
We learnt this week the difference between tattling and reporting. This was to allow us to become more independent and when we should sort something out or when to tell an adult.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
