This week was busy with some Christmas activities. Here are some comments by the children about what we got up to:

“We made some paper chains using patterns. We used loads and loads of coloured paper strips and then we made patterns with the paper strips, and then we made chains with red, green, blue, and white. We hung them up on the Christmas tree.” – Sebastian

“We made snowflakes out of paper. We put them up on the window with our pictures on them.” – Lauren

“We practised our dances for the Christmas party. One was the Hokey Cokey and the other was the Grand Old Duke of York.” – Lily

“Today we took water in two tubs and put one on the radiator and the other on a table and we have to wait and see if it dissolves. That means the water is turning into gas.” – Summer

“We watched the Puss in Boots pantomime. My favourite bit was when Puss in Boots said to remember to slap your thighs.” – Natalie

“We did some writing. We wrote about The Snowman. We had to make a story about what was happening in the pictures.” – Mollie

“We finished the nativity on Wednesday and we had Christmas dinner. My favourite song of the nativity was Mary’s Angel. The nativity was called Mary’s Knitting.” – Grace

“We did adding and taking away up to 50 and up to 20 in maths.” – Reiley

“We learned about hurricanes. We were writing about hurricanes. The eye wall is the most dangerous part of a hurricane.” – Calum

“We started learning how to play Rounders in PE. I liked when I was pinging the ball and we had to run and get it.” – Nicole

Everyone did a super job during the nativity performances this week. Here is a picture of the stage all decorated for the nativity:

Have a lovely weekend!
