In our sounds this week we have been learning ‘g’ and ‘v’, including using these to blend.  Other things we have been doing are identifying the middle sound in a word and will continue to work on this.  In writing, we wrote an invitation for who we would like to invite for tea as we have been looking at ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’.

In VIBRANT vocabulary we have been learning sophisticated words through the book ‘Baa Moo What Will We Do’.

These words include bounding, delighted, dreadful, foraging and frightful.  Also in writing, we used ‘Baa Moo’ as a stimulus to write about something that we have lost.

In Maths, we started looking at pattern. We used the coloured cubes to copy some repeating patterns and then we made our own patterns. We will do more work on this next week.  We have been continuing our number bonds to 5 and sequencing of numbers.

We have been working really hard at practising our nativity.  We have been acting and singing.

We are continuing to reflect on what they have been learning in school, so we can understand our learning and our next steps.
