P7 Update – Week 6

Primary 7 have been continuing to learn about climate change and we looked at the grasslands of Africa.  We learned what animals there would be and what the main features are.  We discovered that grasslands are found in between deserts and rain forests and because of desertification the desert is moving onto the grasslands endangering many species.  We made clay models of the grasslands and will paint these next week when dry.

On Tuesday we had a visit from Broxburn Academy maths teachers who worked with us on measure. Some of us found the work easy while others thought is was more tricky. On Thursday we were marshalling the P6 cross country event.

Today we had our very first Kirkhill Chatter – all about P.E.  We had the chance to say what we enjoyed about P.E. and the activity we take part in outside of school.  We then got to do an activity.  Some of us played number football, some did Just Dance and others used hula hoops.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
