This week was very busy and very quick! In maths we have been looking at 100 squares and how they can be used to aid us in counting in 10’s and 1’s. We have been practising counting in increments of 10’s and 2’s both forwards and backwards and we are getting very good at it! Soon we will be counting in increments of 3’s, 4’s and 5’s.
We have also been further investigating 2D shapes, categorizing shapes based on their properties, for example, those with 4 corners etc.
We had a wonderful visit from “Wild about Scotland” on Thursday. We learnt lots of interesting facts about beavers which we later completed a fabulous piece of writing on.
We also made beautiful Christmas cards (already!) for Cauliflower cards. These have been sent home today with the order form. If you would like to order a stash, please ensure that completed forms and exact money are returned by no later than next Friday (29th September).
Have a lovely weekend and looking forward to lots more learning and fun next week 🙂
