Celebrating Maths Week with Primary 5 :)

This week was Scottish Maths Week and we took part in lots of fun and interesting activities in class and on our school trip to Museum on the Mound.

Grace. B enjoyed going on the school trip and like doing all the activities about money.

Abi liked making her own coin by hitting metal with a heavy hammer onto a template.

Lewis liked making his own £20 notes and finding out how the old kists were unlocked in the old banks.

Alanna enjoyed Maths Week because of all the challenges she accomplished in her activities.

Amy, Keira, Struan, Robert, Reese and Warren enjoyed Maths Week also because they went to the museum and got to break into a safe.

Joshua liked doing the Maths colour by operation and number activity.

Louie enjoyed going on the bus to the school trip because it was exciting.

Steven liked making money at the bank and worked super hard this week in Maths, resulting in him getting Star of the Week, well done!

Nico liked seeing all the cool things in the gift shop in the museum.

Oliwia liked how she got to explore all the parts of the museum.

Holly. S liked looking at all the old money because it was nice to see what type of money and coins we used to use.

Sarah enjoyed Meet the Teacher because her Dad came to her class and was so funny when he was playing, “She’s thinking…”

Erin liked the school trip especially when she got to sleep on the bus!

Grace. S and Zach enjoyed coming back to school on the bus after the trip because they got to play a game of ‘Sweet and Sour’.

Callie also enjoyed the journey back from the trip as she got to play ‘Sweet and Sour’ half the way and sleep half the way!

Holly. P enjoyed sleeping on the bus on the way home from the fun trip too.

Toby liked learning different facts about the £20 note.

Ryan liked finding out all about the old fashioned coins we used to use in British history.

Deryn enjoyed using the stamps when making her very own £20 note.

Owen was poorly this week but managed to make it to school the last two days of Maths Week and enjoyed finishing his Symmetrical Rangoli pattern.

Ellie enjoyed Maths Week because she got to play the Maths Jenga and Bingo!

As you can see, Primary 5 had loads of fun celebrating Maths! Hope you have a great weekend 🙂 See you all on Wednesday!
