This week we have been very busy with a variety of different events.
The members of the House Team organised and ran the Potted Sports event as part of House Rally 3. Everyone really enjoyed this event and they were all impressed with the sportsmanship on display. All of Primary 7 and Primary 7/6 helped out with the running and organisation of this event. Mrs Weir & Miss Sutherland were impressed with our leadership skills and being able to adapt activities as we went.
We have now all finished our Critical Essays about the poem ‘Timothy Winters’ and these have taken up lots of our time completing and re-drafting them. We have had to write about how Charles Causley creates a good character through his use of similes, metaphors and word choice.
We have also had some problem solving this week in the form of Sudoku. Some of us found this very tricky and have had to learn to persevere with a problem. Some of us did really well with this as they have had practise whilst travelling or visiting relatives.
This morning the class have participated in the Broxburn Academy Transition Maths Challenge where they have been using their knowledge of maths concepts from throughout the year to solve problems.
Some EE2 forms for our trip to Blair Drummond are still outstanding and need to be handed in as soon as possible.
