This week we had the Talent Show auditions, which put Nico, Joshua and Toby through to the finals for the 20th June. We also had a potted sports event and the Almondell House won, with Strathbrock coming 2nd, Cardross 3rd and Buchan 4th. Well done everyone!

In Literacy this week, we were learning comprehension skills for fiction stories. Oscar learned that it is not only important to be able to read a story but also to understand what we are reading. Blanka enjoyed completing the comprehension task because it was fun but also challenging as the answers had to be written in full sentences. Grace enjoyed the creative writing lesson because she liked being able to use her imagination to complete the story, using the picture and opener to help. Maddison enjoyed doing the VCOP activity cards because it was a fun way to learn. Nico liked testing his spelling as he spelled 9 out of 10 words correctly.

In Numeracy and Maths we continued learning about Time and Mental Maths. Layla enjoyed completing the active maths cards. Grace S and Lewis liked playing Buzz as it was really fun and they liked working together as a class. Steven also enjoyed the Buzz game and did so well that he got a Dojo point. Jayden and Zach liked doing the Around the Class mental maths cards and we were all so proud of ourselves for beating last weeks’ time. Ryan enjoyed doing the challenge cards with Yousef and he thought that they worked well as a team.

Callie, Deryn and Kiera really enjoyed the Nursery assembly this week and they thought they were so cute! Sarah also loved the assembly, especially when they sang the Jellyfish song J We are super proud of Kiera for getting the Pupil of the Week award for her kind nature and always willing to help others.

Tia enjoyed working as a team to help design a piece of work for the Gala Day because it was fun. Joshua also liked designing the board, especially colouring in the words. Alanna enjoyed having the day of on Thursday as she relaxed and had a pyjama day!
