Before Easter the hedgehogs were very busy learning about their emotions. We talked about the things that make us happy and make us feel sad. we also talked about what we do to make ourselves feel better when we are sad. The group decided the best thing to do was talk to someone and get a hug. Which are very good ideas.
Afterwards we look at our faces in the mirror and made happy and sad faces and then painted our faces. Here are our pictures. What do you think?

We also talked about feeling angry and where in our body we feel our anger. Afterwards we talked about what to do if you feel angry. The group decided that they would go and have some quiet time on their own until they were calm or sometimes shouting into your pillow can make you feel better. One thing everyone agreed was that it doesn’t matter how cross or angry you get being mean or hurting another person is never a good thing to do.
