The class have enjoyed learning about the phases of the moon. Over the last month they have been trying to log what the moon looks like (weather permitting) and they noticed how the phases of the moon changes over the weeks – going from a full moon, to half moon then all the way round to half moon (but on the other side!) again.
In class they made a model of how the moon circles the earth and how the position of the moon relative to the earth and sun affect what we see. By sitting inside the hoop the pupils took the position of the earth, and could see the phases of the moon (well a polystyrene ball!)
The class are making good progress with their ukulele practice. Now getting quite confident with a couple of chords (C and F) and the tricky part of changing between them smoothly while singing! They have also been learning the G7 chord as well, but that is quite a tricky one – but Im sure with some perseverance they will manage it!
Baby Billie made a visit to the class again – we were all amazed at how much she has grown in a few weeks. She seemed really happy to see everyone, smiling at all the pupils as she got introduced to them during the “Hello Baby Billie” song. The discussion this week was about sleep, and routines for sleep – where the pupils learned about the importance of a routine for sleep, and all the different phases of sleep.
