The children worked so hard for Miss Clark this week. She was very impressed with the behaviour of the class and how well they did in all their learning.
Next week in class, the children will continue to learn about Castles and will be thinking about what castles were used for and how they were used for defence! Miss Clark has some exciting lessons lined up to help the children with their learning!
In Maths, some groups will be continuing to subtract within 20. They have learned lots of different subtraction strategies over the past few weeks and will be able to choose to use the way they find the easiest. Some of the children will be adding within 10 and making sure they write their numbers the correct way. Mrs Stenhouse has found some fun Subtraction games to help challenge us in Mental Maths, which is one of our big focuses this term. Remember to keep going over your number bonds to 10 at home!
The children are making excellent progress in their Reading work in class and are using what they have learned in Phonics to help them with their new books each week.
Thank you for all the returns for Parent consultation night, I look forward to meeting with you all. Appointment times will go out on Friday 3rd March.
A wee plea! Could you please make sure your child has indoor and outdoor P.E. kits which are labelled, and also shoes that fit them, as we have witnessed some growth spurts! Also could you ensure all school jumpers have names on too, as we have accumulated quite a few in the classroom which have no names!
The children will continue with their football and basketball skills next week.
Thanks!
Mrs Stenhouse
