Primary 2 finished off last week on a high with their fantastic assembly! I’m very proud of how well all the children did learning their lines, speaking clearly, and dancing so well!
This week, we started exploring a new mini topic about music and sound. The children had a chance to experiment with some of the instruments in the music room, listening to the pitch of the sounds and discussing whether the pitch was high or low, and why. We also used what we have been learning about rhyming words and poetry to help us write some song lyrics. The children wrote new words to the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.
In maths, we continue to expand, deepen, and strengthen our knowledge of multiplication, adding, and subtracting. We also looked at doubles. Next week, we will begin to explore division!
We return to school again next Wednesday, 15th February. I hope that everyone has a wonderful long weekend!
