Happy New Year everyone!  I hope all our P6 families had a great holiday and that the children are ready to begin an exciting new term.

This week we began by talking about our hopes for the year and making New Year’s Resolutions.

We have been finishing off our World War Two topic, which our class assembly will be about (on Friday 20th Jan).  We wrote reports on the war effort in Britain, using notes which we took.

Most excitingly we began putting our show, Beauty and the Beast, onto the stage for the first time.  We are making good progress and are starting to think about costumes.  You should all have received your letter about an exciting event we are holding to raise money for the Performing Arts fund at Kirkhill – a ceilidh on January 27th at Uphall Golf Club.  I really hope we’ll see lots of P6 families there.  Many thanks to Lisa Beveridge and Claire Russell for organising the event!
