P4/3 have been investigating food chains this week and have been producing some great learning.
We talked about producers and consumers, predators and prey and pupils created their own food chains.
Our flower experiment was a 50:50 mix of success from the previous week. Some flowers took up the dyed water but some didn’t even open! We thought about this and decided that sometimes in life, we can’t predict natural events. MOST flowers will bloom but natural selection can also deal a rough blow and some will not. We were able to deduce that some of our hypotheses came true but some didn’t and that’s the excitement of science!
This week, pupils had a chance to create their own food chain soundscape. Groups worked really hard to chose instruments to reflect their chosen animals and how they might sound if they were being chased to be eaten.
Have a listen to each group and see if you can guess their chosen instrument and animal.
Well done P4/3, some great performances this week 🙂
