P2/1 have been learning about houses. we went on a roof hunt and then drew what we saw outside. We found 3 different types of roof! We also learned about different types of houses. We looked at bungalows, flats, cottages, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses. The children drew and labelled their houses. Next week we will be learning about different houses around the world! the children will also be designing their own house!

In Maths, P2 will be adding within 20 using a number line. P1 will be adding within 10. Keep practising writing your numbers the right way!

In P.E. the children have been enjoying taking part in team races and showing good sportsmanship. Please can you make sure your child has suitable outdoor P.E kit and shoes in school.

In Phonics the children have been learning ‘o’ and the new tricky words ‘at’ ‘am’ and ‘an’. Next week they will be learning ‘e’ and ‘f’ and ‘he’ and ‘she’. Thank you for continuing to go over these words and sounds. P2 have been reading in class and making predictions. They have been continuing to word build and blend. Next week some of us will be looking at rhyming words.

Story sacks went home this week. Please return the sack with all its contents on a Friday so new ones can be given out on a Monday.
