A Busy Week in P7

This week in writing we have been focusing on using more openers and how this can make our writing much more interesting. We were all amazed at how quietly we could work during writing and how much more work we can produce. We are now going to be learning about how to give good peer feedback.

In Maths, the Tetrahedrons have been learning all about converting between pounds and other currencies. The group have found this useful and have identified how they could use this when going on holiday.
The Hexagons have focused on the different strategies which they can use when adding and subtracting numbers mentally.
The Triangles have been learning how to use a calculator in relation to money and have been using this to help calculate total costs and find how much change people need.

We have learned all about the different zones of the oceans and where different creatures live.

We have also been busy brainstorming ideas for our P7 Enterprise project and thinking carefully about what makes a profit/loss.

We have started learning some songs for our Panto performance and are looking forward to our auditions on Monday.
