P4 weekly update

We have had a busy week in P4. Here is what we have been doing.

 

LITERACY

In class we have been learning to write poems and using adjectives.

“We did adjective posters” – Boyd

“We wrote a poem using adjectives”- Steven

“We wrote sentences with adjectives” – Oscar

“An adjective is a describing word” – Nico

“We all have started our new reading books” – Joshua

 

NUMERACY

“We have done times tables in numeracy” – Zach

“We have been doing measuring” – Toby

“We used rulers to measure in mm and cm.” – Cristian

“I found it hard” – Grace S

“I found it a challenge because it was quite hard” – Callie

“I found it a challenge to figure it out but it got easier” – Blanka

 

 

PE

In PE we had outdoor and indoor this week.

“I was throwing and catching with Steven” – Tia

“We have been doing hockey outside and I learned how to hit and stop the ball” – Jack

“I learned how to hold the stick” – Oscar

“I learned how to move and throw at the same time. I had to use my space” – Holly

 

 

OTHER

“In music I learned how to hold an African instrument” – Alanna

“We got taught how to use a drum” – Zach

“We learned how to keep a beat” – Steven

“It was fun and I learned how to play different kinds of instruments” – Lewis

“We have taken our own class selfie” – Toby

“In science we shared what we know and what we would like to find out about the body” – Steven

 

“In our weekly review we reflected on what makes us happy in school” – Deryn

This is what some people said made them happy in school –

doing maths, being in class, seeing my friends, having Miss Dunn, doing Art, playing with my friends, golden time, playing outside, playing football, doing adjectives, getting an education.

 

REWARDS

Well done to Steven who was our pupil of the week.

Boyd and Callie were this weeks star writers. Well done!
