Good afternoon!
We have had a busy time this week in P4/3, with lots of new learning taking place.
Our topic to begin the year is how to be the best learner and we have been discussing and investigating having a growth mindset over a fixed mindset. Students were asked to complete a survey this week, making decisions about learning and whether we can train our brains to be even better. Some students thought that this was possible and others not. Some believed that being shown how to do something was the best way to learn and some thought that we couldn’t change our ‘brain power’, but we are given what we are given. We will revisit this survey at the end of the topic to see if we have changed our minds (brains!) about some of the answers that we gave.
We have also started to look at the brain, what it looks like and it’s different parts. Watch this space for some budding neuroscientists in the next few weeks!
Have a great weekend,
Mrs Chetwynd-Cox 🙂
