In P6/5 we have been investigating natural disasters, the different types and the impact that they can have on the environment.
In groups, students were asked to create notes from information they were given about volcanoes and create a presentation based on this information. They all worked really hard together to gather the correct information and decide how best to present it. Most chose PowerPoint and created models to show how an eruption takes place… with mixed results! Unfortunately, none of the volcanoes exploded: some bubbled and some were definitely dormant!!! But,all groups were able to reflect and think about why they didn’t work and what they could do the next time to make sure they did explode.
