A busy week in P7W

This week we have been very busy in P7W. We have continued to practice our Scottish Opera songs and can’t believe that our performance is not that far away!

Our context for learning this term is The Rainforest, we have been busy making leaves and trees for our 3D display. We will post a photo next week when we have added more. We have also been learning about the different layers which can be found in the rainforest such as the Emergent, Canopy, Understory and Forest Floor and some of the animals which live there. We also made colour wheels which contained rainforest animals and learned how to mix different colours of paint.

In Maths we have been learning about different types of fractions. Hexagons & Squares have been converting improper and mixed number fraction. Triangles have been using our division skills to help us with fractions.

We have also been very tired this week after our circuits in P.E. We did lots of stations where we had 1 minute to complete as many tasks as possible. We will record our results and hopefully our fitness should improve.

In the class we have also started reading ‘Millions’ as part of our Literacy Evolve and we are looking forward to reading more of this.

Our learning area outside the P7 classrooms is now up and running. We have especially enjoyed the junk area and have made lots of Star Wars themed things.
