We were\u00a0 using our senses and looking\u00a0 at some other features of Shabbat.\u00a0 What are our senses? Smell, sight hearing, taste and touch. We watched a video from BBC Bitesize\u00a0 about Shabbat in the synagogue. What things happened that we need to use our senses for?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hearing \u2013 singing, Rabbi reading in Hebrew.<\/li>\n<li>Touching \u2013 cover on the torah Scrolls<\/li>\n<li>Sight \u2013 prayer shawl, Kippah, eternal light, Torah scrolls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Today we are going to be finding out what happens at the closing of Shabbat.\u00a0 Remember to keep thinking about your senses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:-\u00a0<\/strong> We are going to watch the BBC Bitesize video on the closing of Shabbat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/clips\/z2497ty\">https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/clips\/z2497ty<\/a><\/p>\n<p>What senses were used?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smell \u2013 spices in spice box, burning candle, wine<\/li>\n<li>Taste &#8211; wine<\/li>\n<li>Hear \u2013 singing , blessing<\/li>\n<li>See \u2013 Havdallah candle, wine and spices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Talk to someone in your house about what you noticed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/e\/ed\/Havdalah.jpg\" alt=\"Havdalah - Wikipedia\" width=\"312\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The picture shows the wine cup, spice box and Havdallah candle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>step 2:-\u00a0<\/strong>We are going to finish off with a sequencing activity.\u00a0 We have been focusing on our senses but have learnt lots about Shabbat.\u00a0 To complete the activity you need to cut out the words and stick them under the correct picture.\u00a0 You then need to put the pictures in the correct order of how things happen during Shabbat.\u00a0 Whe you are finished you can colour in the pictures if you like.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/harrysmuirps\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2020\/06\/09145609\/Shabbat-sequencing-P3.pdf\">Shabbat sequencing -P3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well Primary 3, this is the last RME lesson of the school year !\ud83d\ude2e\ud83d\ude2e\u00a0 The next time I see you, you will be in Primary 4.
