Resources:
- Bowl or tray
- Washing up liquid
- Water
- Paint
- Drink straw
- Paper
Follow these steps:
- Put a squirt of paint into the bowl/tray. Add a few drops of washing up liquid.
- Add some water to make it runny consistency to blow bubbles.
- Using the drinking straw, blow into the paint mixture to create the lot of bubbles so they rise above the bowl
- Place the paper lightly on top of the bubbles until they stop popping
- Carefully lift the paper so not to smudge the paint
- The popped bubbles will have left a complex pattern of interlinking circles.
- Leave to dry.
- An adult could help you make another creation by cutting your work into a shape -e.g. butterfly, flower, car, football
Tried it with my girls, I used plastic boxes, and the results aren’t that beautiful like in the picture above, but girls were really enjoying this activity:)
