In P6 we started by looking a whole range of Scots words and trying to decipher what they may mean….most of us knew Mingin! For the ones we were less sure of we used a Scots online dictionary. Once we had worked out the Scots translation, we used these words in a variety of ways. Some created their own Scots comics whilst others used the words to translate the poem A Dug, A Dug by Billy Keys. Some members of the class learnt a Scots poem whilst others decided to recite a Roald Dahl story which had been translated into Scots!<\/p>\n
