Today we are going to continue to have a look at some ALLITERATION<\/strong> – Alliteration<\/strong>\u00a0is when words start with the same sound: For example, Sammy the slippery snake came sliding.\u00a0Alliteration<\/strong>\u00a0is used in both written and spoken English. You can find examples in poetry, advertising and events commentary. It is often used in newspaper headlines to grab the reader’s attention.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Have a look at the sheet below which has loads of ALLITERATION ideas. Use these to create some silly sentences. For example:<\/p>\n \u2018The e<\/u>lephant ate e<\/u>ggs with the e<\/u>lf whilst he sealed the e<\/u>nvelopes.\u2019<\/p>\n T-L-6184-Alliteration-Ideas-Sheet – FOR TUES 16TH JUNE<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Writing – Look at some cereal boxes. They make them eye-catching so that you want to pick them. Design a new label for a cereal box. What eye-catching information will you add? Can you use an exclamation mark? I\u2019ve included some examples below:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Create a Class Survival Book – <\/strong>Create a page for a book that can be put together in the new term to tell the next class how things work in Primary 3 \u2013 what things do you do and learn? What daily jobs do you have? What are the rewards and sanctions in class?<\/p>\n This is Miss Taylor’s writing task this week:<\/p>\n t-t-29006-end-of-the-year-writing-activity-sheet_ver_4<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Numeracy<\/u><\/p>\n Let\u2019s start with this – Write the numbers 50-70 in words and digits.<\/p>\n We are going to continue looking at doubling and halving.
