Activity 1 – Phonics\u00a0\"Phonics\u00a0 \u00a0sh<\/strong><\/p>\n

L.I. to understand that 2 letters can make 1 sound<\/p>\n

S.C. I can say the sound to match the letter shape<\/p>\n

S.C. I can blend this sound with other sounds to read words<\/p>\n

S.C. I can spell words with this sound in them<\/p>\n

Yesterday I introduced you to the sh<\/strong> sound.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Use your super blending skill to read the following words- Top Tip<\/strong> – remember the sh sound can come at the end of a word!<\/p>\n

    I hope you enjoyed reading Painting the Loft and completing the play activities.<\/p>\n

    Today I would like you to complete one of the guided reading activities from your learning pack. – Try your very best to write at least 2 sentences describing your favourite part of the story and draw a picture to go with it. For example my favourite part is when Gran tells them they can sleep in the loft. I can imagine all the fun they are going to have and stories they are going to tell each other. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

    Activity 4- Art and Design<\/p>\n

    I am not sure if you have noticed, but there are a lot of birds around at the moment, I can hear them singing day and night. They have always been there but because there are less aeroplanes and traffic we are able to hear and see them more clearly. I thought it might be a good idea to make a bird feeder for them.<\/p>\n

    Here are the instructions on how to make a cheerio bird feeder.<\/p>\n

    What you will need-<\/strong><\/p>\n

    pipe cleaners<\/p>\n

    Cheerios<\/p>\n

    Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1.Make a small hoop at the end of a pipe cleaner<\/p>\n

    2. Thread the cheerios through<\/p>\n

    3. Once the pipe cleaner is full of cheerios twist the 2 end pieces together and bend the feeder into any shape you want.<\/p>\n

    4. Go outside and find the perfect place to hang your bird feeder and then wait for the birds to enjoy a tasty treat.<\/p>\n
